Any ideas how to customise a JCM2000 to give it the kick of a 900?

I've got one spare in the studio and wouldn't mind making it an adventure.

Would be a bit of job to say the least! The JCM2000 is made from genuine cassette radio technology split over half a dozen pc's interlinked with a million jumper cables. It would be easier to rip them all out and put in some proper tag board. The valves are also pcb mounted so it'll give you a headache changing connections on the valves. Sell it and buy a 900!

Haha,

fair enough!

Didn't realise they were so different!

Seen any decent 900's at a decent price?

Hi Yorgo,
Not sure if you'd be interested but Bugera have released a new head, the 1990 which is based on a modded 800/900. They seem to be generating a lot of interest, there is a link to a YouTube demo on Bugera's website, basically comparing it directly to a 900. Worth checking out. Best price I've seen is £325.

Cheers,
             J.
